Straight answers about Clear Path

What the app does, what it costs, and what happens to your data, in a few sentences each.

About Clear Path

What is Clear Path?

Clear Path is an Android app that keeps your tasks, money, focus sessions, meditation and mood in one place. It is local-first, so everything lives on your phone and works without a connection, and the free plan is the whole app rather than a trial. It is made by Soft Planet Studio in India.

Is Clear Path free?

Yes. The free plan covers tasks, expenses, budgets, the ledger, focus, Zen, mood tracking, notes and a few AI generations a day, on one device. Nothing expires, no card is needed, and you do not need an account to start.

What does Clear Path Pro add?

Pro adds cloud sync of your notes and ledger, raises the limit from one signed-in device to five, gives you a much bigger daily AI allowance, and lets you hand tasks to friends. It is a recurring subscription bought through Google Play, and the price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.

Is Clear Path available on iPhone?

Not yet. Clear Path is on Android through Google Play, and there is also a web version at app.clear-path.live that runs in your browser. The Thoughts notebook is only in the Android app.

Offline and your data

Does Clear Path work offline?

Yes. Tasks, expenses, budgets, the ledger, focus, Zen, mood and notes all work with no connection, because they are stored on your phone first. The AI features are the one exception: they run in the cloud, so they need a connection. If you are signed in, anything you changed while offline is sent to the cloud by itself once you reconnect.

Do I need an account to use Clear Path?

No. Tasks, focus, breathing, mood, notes and money all work without signing in. An account is only needed for a cloud copy of your data, for using more than one device, and for adding friends.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone first, in a local database. If you sign in, a copy is kept in the cloud so it survives a lost phone and reaches your other devices. Notes and the ledger are only copied to the cloud on Pro.

Tasks and productivity

Can I add a task by speaking it?

Yes. Say something like "remind me to call the plumber tomorrow at 4, high priority, every Tuesday" and Clear Path fills in the title, date, time, priority, category and repeat for you. It understands any language you speak, not just English. This uses AI, so it needs a connection.

Does Clear Path handle recurring tasks and reminders?

Yes. Tasks can repeat, and completion is tracked per occurrence, so ticking off today never hides tomorrow. Reminders and alarms are scheduled on your phone against your real time zone, so travel or a clock change does not move them. Tasks also support priorities, subtasks, categories and count goals.

Can AI help me plan tasks or write notes?

Yes, when you ask it to. AI assist can break a task into subtasks, brainstorm a note you have only given a title, or rewrite one you have already drafted. The free plan includes a few AI generations a day, and Pro raises that allowance.

Can I share tasks with friends?

Yes, on Pro. Add friends by username, then hand a task to one of them. It shows on their list with your name on it, and each of you sees when the other ticks it off.

Money

Can Clear Path track my expenses?

Yes. Log a spend by hand, or scan a UPI QR code and the expense is half filled in before you have put your phone away. You can keep several accounts and see every balance in one place, and from the 28th of each month you get a plain-English read on where your money went.

Does Clear Path have budgets?

Yes. Set a budget for each category and watch what is left of it as you spend. You are warned before you cross the limit, not after, and last month's history is kept.

Can I split bills and track who owes me money?

Yes. Turn on splitting when you add a shared expense and Clear Path does the arithmetic. The ledger, a khata, keeps a running balance per person for loans, repayments and shared bills, so it is clear who owes what when it is time to settle up.

Focus, meditation and mood

Does Clear Path have a focus timer?

Yes. Start a focus session, name it and choose how long it runs, and the rest of the app steps back until you are done. Save the work and rest lengths you use as a template, so a Pomodoro-style routine starts in one tap.

Does Clear Path have meditation or breathing exercises?

Yes. Zen is a timed meditation session with a breathing guide that paces your inhale and exhale, and optional ambient sound: rain, forest, waves or white noise. There is a short guide for beginners, a streak if it helps you show up, and a history of every session.

Can I track my mood?

Yes. Checking in takes one tap a day, and the mood calendar shows your month at a glance, with any day open for the detail behind it. You get advice for the mood you logged, and a home screen widget keeps today's mood in view.

Privacy and security

Can I lock Clear Path with my fingerprint or face?

Yes. Turn on App Lock and Clear Path hands the check to your phone's own biometric prompt. On Android the app's window is also marked secure, so it shows as a blank card in recent apps and screenshots are blocked.

Does Clear Path show ads or sell my data?

No. There are no ad networks in Clear Path, and nothing you write down is sold. When you use an AI feature, the text you give it is sent to a third-party model to produce the reply, and the Privacy Policy explains who processes it.

Still have a question?

Ask it directly. Clear Path is made by one person, and that person reads the inbox.
