Effective date: Version: 2026-08-05
These Terms are an agreement between you and Vohra Idris Shakirbhai, a sole proprietor trading as Soft Planet Studio ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Clear Path app and website ("Clear Path"). By creating an account or using Clear Path, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Clear Path.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to hold a Clear Path account. Clear Path includes paid subscriptions, AI-assisted features and social features, and we do not operate a parental-consent process.
You may use Clear Path to keep records on behalf of someone else, for example a wallet tracking your child's pocket money. If you do, the account stays yours, you remain responsible for it, and you must not let a child use your account to reach the AI, friends or purchase features.
By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you give us is accurate.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- Your username must be unique. We may reclaim usernames that impersonate other people or organisations, or that are abusive.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
Device limit. Your plan allows a set number of signed-in devices at once (currently 1 on the free plan, 5 on Pro). Signing in beyond that limit signs out your least recently used device. This is enforced by our servers.
3. Clear Path is a record-keeping tool, not financial, legal or medical advice
This section matters. Please read it.
Clear Path records information you enter. It does not act on it.
- We are not a bank, payment provider, lender, escrow service or debt-collection service. Wallets and account balances in Clear Path are numbers you type in. They are labels for your own bookkeeping. They are not connected to any bank account, and they do not move, hold or transfer money.
- The ledger does not create, verify or enforce any debt. If you record that someone owes you money, that is your private note. We do not check it, take a position on it, or help you collect it. Any dispute about money between you and another person is entirely between you and them.
- Scanning a UPI QR code only reads the code to help you fill in an expense. Clear Path does not initiate, process or complete any payment.
- Nothing in Clear Path is financial or tax advice. Budgets, totals and insights are arithmetic on your own figures.
- Nothing in Clear Path is medical, psychological or crisis advice. Mood tracking, Zen sessions and any wellbeing content are for personal reflection only. If you are struggling or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services, not this app.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for any decision you make based on it.
4. AI-assisted features
Some optional features use AI to draft a task breakdown, help with note text, or interpret something you dictated.
- AI output is generated text. It can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Check anything that matters before relying on it.
- When you use an AI feature, the text you supply is sent to a third-party model to produce a response. See the Privacy Policy for who processes it. Do not put information into an AI feature that you would not want processed by a third party.
- Do not use the AI features to generate unlawful, abusive or deceptive content.
- We may change, limit or withdraw AI features, including how much you can use them, without notice.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create in Clear Path: your tasks, finances, ledger records, notes, mood entries and preferences.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store, back up, sync and display your content on your devices, and, where you use an AI feature, to transmit the text you supply for processing. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for having a proper reason to hold information about other people that you enter (a name and phone number in the ledger, or a child's allowance), and for recording no more than you need.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break the law, or use Clear Path to help anyone else do so.
- Impersonate another person, or use a username designed to deceive.
- Harass, threaten or abuse another user through any feature that reaches them, including friend requests, shared tasks, or ledger reminders.
- Send unsolicited, repeated or bulk messages to anyone using Clear Path's sharing and reminder features.
- Try to access another user's account or data, probe or bypass our security, or interfere with our servers or security rules.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or automate Clear Path, or resell access to it.
- Upload malware, or deliberately submit content designed to break the app.
Reminders and sharing. Some features open WhatsApp, SMS or a share sheet with text prefilled. You are sending that message, to a recipient you chose. You are responsible for it, including having a legitimate reason to contact that person.
7. Clear Path Pro (subscriptions)
- Pro is a recurring subscription. Prices and billing periods are shown in the app before you buy.
- Billing is handled by the app store (Google Play), not by us. We never receive your payment details.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time through your app store account; cancelling stops future renewals and Pro continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the app store under its policy. We cannot issue store refunds directly.
- Which features are Pro may change. We will not remove a feature you are currently paying for without notice; if we make a materially adverse change mid-period, contact us.
- If your Pro subscription ends, you do not lose your data, but Pro-only behaviour stops. In particular, cloud sync of notes and the ledger stops, and your device limit returns to the free allowance, which may sign out devices.
8. Availability, and changes to Clear Path
- Clear Path is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
- Clear Path depends on third-party services (Google Firebase, app stores, AI providers). Their outages will affect it.
- We may add, change or remove features. We may discontinue Clear Path. If we do, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export or retain your data where practicable.
- Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Clear Path keeps a local copy on your device and, for the features covered by your plan, a synced copy, but it is not a backup service.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Clear Path at any time, and may delete your account in the app (Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account). Deletion is irreversible; see the Privacy Policy for what is removed.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, in particular §6 (Acceptable use), or where we must to comply with the law or protect other users or the service.
Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. For a serious breach, or where telling you first would cause harm, we may act immediately. If your account is suspended you may not be able to reach your cloud data; data on your device is unaffected. To query a suspension, contact us at the address below.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of data beyond what §8 describes.
- We are not liable for any financial decision, payment, debt or dispute arising from information you recorded in Clear Path (see §3).
- We are not liable for reliance on AI-generated output (see §4).
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Clear Path is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.
If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local consumer law gives you that these Terms cannot override.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Clear Path changes. When a change is material we will raise the version above and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clear Path after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using Clear Path and delete your account.
We keep a record of the Terms version your account accepted.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law entitles you to bring a claim elsewhere.
